Yup, it's the one, the only, the droolable... Sean Bean! First time I remember seeing him was in the James Bond movie "Goldeneye", where he played Agent 006, Alec Trevelyan. It is my fave Bond movie, not only because I think Brosnan is the best Bond and because I like Sean Bean, but because it has the best plot of all the Bonds I've seen, plus it's already a big hi-tec. The newer Bonds were all stupid and concentrated on the special effects, the older ones just bored me. Anyway...
This is from a scene in the awesome movie "Patriot Games", in which Sean Bean plays an Irish terrorist, Sean Miller, a man of the IRA, who's hunting Harrison Ford, Jack Ryan, an ex-CIA agent, who happened to shoot Sean's brother while trying to prevent a terrorist act planned and done by Sean and his gang. In the pic itself Sean is being interrogated by the british police.
Refference pic: [link] I played around with the brightness and contrast of the pic, because it'd be hard for me to draw a pic so dark, ergo it's not exactly the same. Anyway...
Coloured pencils, about four hours. I had tremendous fun with finding all the tiny bits of local colour You can't see it so well on the scan (please full-view to see what I mean), but the pic is full of tasteless greens and blues and pinks and purples, which put together fit quite nicely. Anyway, enjoy
"Clear and Present Danger" isn't exactly the sequel to "Patriot Games", but it's more like the later life of Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford). I suppose that in a way it is a sequel, but you know that many writers of thriller novels (and Tom Clancy, who wrote both "Patriot Games" and "Clear and Present Danger" is a thiller writer) use the same character over a long space of time and in many books (like Nelson de Mille used John Corey or Dan Brown is writing about Robert Langdon).
